The Cookies being set

Hopefully that has clarified things for you and as was previously mentioned if there is something that you aren’t sure whether you need or not it’s usually safer to leave cookies enabled in case it does interact with one of the features you use on my site. For Courses, a non-refundable deposit of £75.00 per person is required to secure your place; the balance of the course fee is due one month before the start date. I reserve the right to cancel courses if they are undersubscribed. If that occurred we would refund all monies paid, or offer you a transfer onto another course.

Bookings Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

1.1/ The terms of the Matthew Davison’s price list and these terms and conditions constitute the terms of the legally binding contract (“the Contract”) between you, the student and Matthew Davison.
1.2/ Any enrolment application by you will be subject to written acceptance by the Matthew Davison via email.
2/ Courses & Classes

2.1/ You must attend all courses or classes on a punctual basis unless prevented by events which are beyond your reasonable control.
2.2/ You must comply with all rules and regulations issued by Matthew Davison from time to time.

2.3/ Matthew Davison will be entitled to change the timing and/or content of any course and to substitute a different tutor at any time.
3/ Fees
3.1/ Enrolment on courses is subject to payment either of a deposit of £75 or full fees as set out in Matthew Davison’s price list. Deposits are non-refundable.
3.2/ Following acceptance by Matthew Davison of your application, you will be contractually bound to pay the full amount of the fees as set out below. No refund will be made if you subsequently fail to attend all or any part of the course (and Matthew Davison is unable to reallocate your place).
3.3/ All fees must be paid not less than 12 weeks before the start of the course, subject as set out below.

3.4/ If Matthew Davison has agreed that fees may be paid by instalments, each instalment must be paid by the instalment date set out by Matthew Davison. Any deposit paid will be deducted from the final instalment. The obligation to pay each of the instalments will continue notwithstanding that you subsequently fail to attend all or any part of the course. Failure to pay any instalment by the due date or attend the course will result in the balance of the fees becoming immediately payable.
3.5/ If fees are not paid by the due date, Matthew Davison will be entitled to reallocate your place (without prejudice to the obligation to pay the fees).
3.6/ Any deposit and/or fees paid will only be returned if Matthew Davison is unable to offer you a place on your chosen course.

4/ Your Conduct
4.1/ Disruptive behaviour: Abusive or inappropriate language, threatening or disruptive behaviour towards any staff or clients will result in you being removed from the course. The course fee will not be reimbursed in this event.

5/ Termination
5.1/ You may only terminate the contract in the circumstances set out below.
5.2/ You may only terminate the Contract if you give Matthew Davison written notice of termination and Matthew Davison receives such notice not less than 12 weeks before the start of the course. Provided that Matthew Davison has received your notice of termination prior to the deadline, Matthew Davison will refund any fees paid but will retain an administration fee of £100. You must receive confirmation in writing that Matthew Davison has agreed to terminate the Contract in order to be eligible for a refund. The confirmation should be obtained for your records.
5.3/ Matthew Davison will be entitled to cancel any course or class at any time subject to the repayment of any fees received in respect of the course or the part of the course which has been cancelled. Matthew Davison does not accept any liability for any costs or loss that may be incurred.

5.4/ FORCE MAJEUR  Refunds do not apply when your course is cancelled as a result of risk of war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control. In those circumstances travel insurance should apply.
Matthew Davison will offer you a credit for a future course to be used within 6 months.

COVID-19 – RISK FREE BOOKING
If you are required to cancel your place due to Government advice, experiencing COVID symptoms before travelling or on arrival at the course, local or National lockdowns, or the need to quarantine or isolate you will be entitled to a Refund Credit Note for the full fees paid which will be valid for 6 months. I am are not liable for additional costs incurred e.g travel and accommodation.
If you experience symptoms during a course you will not be able to continue and it will be necessary to leave immediately in order to self-isolate in accordance with government guidelines. In some circumstances I may be able to make a credit note available for the time lost.
6/ Liability

6.1/ You must not bring any items of special value onto Matthew Davison’s premises or where his classes are. Matthew Davison will not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal possessions.
6.2/ Matthew Davison will not be liable for any loss suffered by you which is indirect, special or consequential.

6.3/ Matthew Davison will not be liable for any loss suffered by you resulting from any event which is beyond the reasonable control of Matthew Davison.
7/ General

7.1/ The Contract contains all of the contractual terms agreed between you, the invoice addressee and Matthew Davison.
7.2/ No failure or delay by Matthew Davison in enforcing any of its rights under the Contract shall be deemed to be a waiver of such right.

7.3/ The Contract shall be governed by English law.

8/ How I use your data

8.1/ I will only retain details for as long as they are useful for Matthew Davison.
8.2/ All inactive records will be deleted after five years.
8.3/ After five years I will retain booking history but this will not be attached to any personal details.

8.4/ No credit or debit card information will be held by Matthew Davison
8.5/ I will not sell your data to any third parties.

If possible you are advised to take out insurance against loss of fees through illness or personal accident.
